“Only theater can completely absorb the spectator and make him both understand and also inwardly experience the happenings on the stage, enriching his inner life, and leaving impressions which will not fade with time.” —Konstantin Stanislavski, from An Actor Prepares
Plays aren’t just for theater students. Plays help unite communities.
Because art stimulates the audience’s curiosity and emotions, a theatrical performance will be more impactful than a lecture in conveying important ideas and lessons (& it’s entertaining!)
While Dan’s solo performances work great when paired together, each play is also successful as a standalone event.
Dan Bernitt can tailor his pre-show introduction to emphasize many awareness periods. The audience will use the play as a starting point during a post-show discussion, exploring what these issues mean in their community and what actions they can take to support themselves and others.
Below are times during the year where each show can contribute to a conversation.
Submit the form below, and we can discuss your programming needs.
All that’s required to start a conversation is your name, email address, and phone number—but if you have everything else, that’s wonderful, too!
